Craftsmanship
With all its cutting edge technology, Classic Series Doors are still deeply rooted in old world craftsmanship. Everything from the door's core construction to its beautiful finish is done with pride, striking a delicate balance between science and art.

Much of the science in Classic Series Doors can be found in their construction. In particular, you'll find that Classic Series Doors are engineered to meet the special demands of today's high-end builder. Classic Series Doors feature a unique 1 1/2" solid hardwood edge along the top and sides, plus a 4" solid hardwood edge at the base of the door. The deeper edges make the door capable of accepting extra long screws, while also providing extra room if you need to customize the door to make room for a special floor treatment or fit into a tight space. Additionally, the stiles are 5" wide, giving you flexibility to incorporate an oversized lockset.

To strike an artistic balance, all Classic Series Doors are built by hand, using classic stile and rail construction. Not only do they look terrific, they're built to last. But for all its benefits, stile and rail constructed doors have been known to eventually show visible seams over time. Not anymore. To address this issue, we've added a special touch--a one-piece veneer finish to eliminate those seams completely.

Material
All Classic Series Doors are constructed using MDF (medium density fiberboard) - the very latest in material technology. Simply put, a Classic Series MDF Door is far superior to a traditional wood door. First and foremost, our MDF Doors won't shrink or expand, making them much stronger and more stable than ordinary wood doors. They're truly built to last. Our MDF Doors also offer a much smoother surface that's ideal for painting and faux finishing. A finished Classic Series Door looks dramatically different than a typical wood door.

The quality is obvious.

But the beauty of MDF lies in the fact that despite all these benefits, it's actually less expensive than wood. And because MDF is constructed of wood industry by-products, it's not only cost-efficient, it's also more environmentally friendly than a traditional wood door.
